Melissa Wolnik I’m trying to understand both sides because there is always both sides to a story. When someone’s dog goes missing they are pretty upset and frantic. I’m sure she was, and I accept that you did your best.

Dar Davies at this point I wish I hadn’t assisted in any way and she could have picked the dog up at Safe Harbor a day later, because my help wasn’t good enough or fast enough. If you read your friends post she was using the words keeping him and giving him back, NOBODY was EVER trying to keep him!!!! That’s disgusting of her and that was her tone from the minute of contact!!!! Let’s talk about the fact he wasn’t hit by a car or attacked by a dog, or what we can be thankful for, Nope it’s WE didn’t get her lost dog back fast enough, do you see the absurdity??? You are making assumptions that we know what the police can or will do, that you know how quickly they could have responded and reunited, my neighbor knew Safe Harbor and was doing what she thought was best. If you can’t understand that and accept that then you can live with it.

Dar Davies moral of the story, my neighbor did what she thought was right, had it not been a Sunday and her fearing the dog might not be chipped and that it would sit at the humane society anyway. There’s a whole lot of blame going around and lies and that is the saddest part. Dog was safe and unified and I didn’t appreciate being a middle man and getting slandered for it. I will not stand lies or accusations period.

Melissa Wolnik oh my god. By having the police scan her. Scanning doesn’t mean it would be taken to the humane society. It means the owner would have been contacted sooner.

Dar Davies they also charge a fee for reunification, so I think my neighbor was trying to help more than she can comprehend.
