Melissa Wolnik As if no one can see where you responded to my post by saying you you "tried" to post. Amazing how your post didn't show up on any lost pet site, for all the hours I checked, until after I posted him lost. It excuses none of your shady actions and injuring my dog by keeping him and swimming with him like he was your pet, instead of contacting nonemergency. Done with your nonsense.

Kim Warzyn I DID NOT HAVE YOUR DOG! The neighbor did, she didn’t want to call non emergency because she felt like he was local and she wanted help posting on FB which I did, and I replied in every way. I went to pick him up from her as she said he just jumped in her pool. Let’s get the facts right. There was never any thank you at all, and I was met with contempt the minute I called the number to let the woman know. He was posted on lost pets on Kenosha as well. I was helping a neighbor out and could not believe that someone would not be thrilled to get their pet back period! I have 2 dogs of my own and would not have taken him in. I offered her the number for non emergency and she said she wanted to find the owner which we did, did we not?? If the owner wasn’t found she was going to take it to Safe Harbor tomorrow when they opened that was the first place she went. It’s not about the thank you it’s about being a decent human which my neighbor felt responsible for the dog because he walked up to her! She wanted to help and I helped her but the owner decided her losing her dog was somehow our fault like we were not helping her. The dog was not in the street, he was in her home and when she let him outside so I could come get him he jumped in the pool on his own accord. He was safe and she was rude and made me lose faith in humanity.

I guess the moral of the story is if you can't make contact with the owner by way of an ID tag, call Kenosha dispatch 262-656-1234 and let them handle the rest. Pets who are microchipped can be reunited faster with their owner this way.

Melissa Wolnik That's nervy of you to complain, that you werent "thanked enough". I would have been grateful if you and "your neighbor" had called nonemergency, since he's microchipped. And not given him back to me soaking wet, after you spent hours "swimming with him in your pool". (Which he's in therapy for an ACL tear he had, so thanks for the damage you did making him swim around with you all afternoon.) And that's after refusing to tell me where he was, and me having to say I'll meet you on a corner of a park for you to give him to me. And after saying no lost pet site would let you post that you found a dog. Thank you for caring enough that he needs , to give him back. Appreciate it. Needed to edit to add that he's now badly limping because of making him exercise for hours while you kept him.

Wow, so sad. When they kept him safe and cooled him off. Some people are so ungrateful and rude.

Melissa Wolnik... That's nervy of you to complain, that you werent "thanked enough". I would have been grateful if you and "your neighbor" had called nonemergency, since he's microchipped. Instead of complaining that he didn't have a collar on, to justify just keeping him. And not given him back to me soaking wet, after you spent hours "swimming with him in your pool". (Which he's in therapy to help with an ACL tear he had, so thanks for the damage you did making him swim around with you all afternoon) And that's after refusing to tell me where he was, and me having to say I'll meet you on a corner of a park for you to give him to me. Reunited with the ungrateful owner!!! I was helping a neighbor post and look for owner since 3 PM today she had dog as I have 2 dogs of my own and could not take him. Owner was blaming my neighbor for keeping him safe all day..wow!!! Hey, how about putting a collar with identification on your dog and being a responsible owner! Unbelievable!!!
