Was he chipped? That part is so important. If he was registered through AKC, they have a national search database with a collar tag, please put some kind of tag, that actually has a QR code that can be scanned. Our dog was lost. The finder scanned the code it was a way to connect them with my information. I know this doesn’t help in this situation but I also know the fear when they go missing, I was completely terrified! I pray that your baby is found quickly and someone sees this to get your puppy back. If the dog is being trained, please, please get it chipped. It makes a total difference. If someone finds your pup hurt, takes them to the vet, the vet scans the dog, you should get a call. Chip info can be updated even if the owner changes!

Just an idea for anyone who has lost an animal. Make flyers. About 20 copies. Take one to the shelter, and ask if they can hang it up. Also ask if they can give the rest to the animal control drivers. To keep in their trucks. Give flyers to the mailman, ups and fedex drivers. Also save the post you made on lost and found. Post it once a week, just to keep people informed that you're still looking. Also keep in contact with the shelter once a week, to make sure they haven't forgotten. You may also ask the shelter if they will share your lost animal post on their page. Whatever you do. NEVER GIVE UP.
