Message from Owner

My cat Coraline has been missing since Thursday and this is very unlike him. He always comes and knows exactly where he lives, so I’m really worried something may have happened or that he may be stuck nearby. He may be hiding in a grge, shed, under a porch, or anywhere quiet. Please check around your in case he was unexpectedly trapped. He responds to his name and may come up to you or meow. If you have seen him or have any information at all, please message me. I just want him safe 💛

🐾Place some dirty laundry outsid to e, go out shake it I treats, crack a can of catfood and tap it. Look at night with flashlight because their eyes glow. Check in sheds and under porches, decks ect. Talk to neighbors too, make sure they check their shelters . Might have to set a hav a heart trap if he's that skittish. 🔴VERY IMPORTANT!! DO NOT Set a trap in extreme temperatures if trap cannot be constantly monitored and watched. Animals can die quickly left in traps in cold and hot conditions. 🔴Might only come out at night. Sometimes if you leave part of your garage open they will sneak back in. Not sure if that's possible or if you have other animals. I've heard where the cat jumps back in a window. Flyers are VERY important too, someone may have taken him in or seen him. Not everyone is on Facebook-Let your post office delivery person know too in case they hear of someone or see him on the local route- check with neighbors, someone may have brought him in. It's a good idea to hang a sign from your mailbox "LOST CaT" in case they are looking for an owner. You can buy a cheap tasco game camera at wal mart with an SD card and set it up to see if you catch him near by. It surprisingly takes good pictures and is easy to set up- definitely do the dirty laundry and definitely do the tapping of the cat food can. These things really do help🐾🐾🐾don't lose hope. I've had strays remain elusive for over a year before they learn to trust again. They go into survival mode. Be vigilant about flyers, ask neighbors. Sometimes the cat is hanging out at a neighbors close by ***also check with pAw bo0st neXt do0r and find toBy

Very important! If your cat/dog is microchipped PLEASE double check to make sure the microchip is REGISTERED and up to date with your current information and telephone number incase someone finds your cat/dog and takes it somewhere to get scanned so that they can call you. You should have the chip number in your paperwork from who IMPLANTED the chip in. You will need the BRAND of chip to be able to call them and check to see if it is REGISTERED and up to date. If you only have the number and Not the BRAND of chip you can enter it for free on this national website. When you enter the chip number in it will ONLY tell you the BRAND of chip so that you can call them and check to see if it is REGISTERED and up to date with your current information and telephone number. https://www.aaha.org/for-veterinary-professionals/microchip-search/

Buy, rent or borrow a humane trap and set it up asap. It must be monitored, kept in the shade and covered on top because of the weather. Tractor supply, Lowes, Home Depot, and Amazon sell them. Certain animal shelters will rent them out. Keep in mind you may catch a raccoon and you need to know how to release it safely

Put something with your cat's scent on it outside on the porch such as a blanket, clothes, toys etc. Sprinkle cat nip on it too if you have any

Go knocking door to door asking your neighbors within a 2-3 block radius. Hand them a flyer with a photo of your cat/dog and a telephone number to be reached at. Hang up flyers outside and protect them with a plastic sleeve from the weather.
