Herman is a Turkish Angora (mix). Please set our water and smelly wet fish food. When you get him back, please set up a safe room, inside of the house, with his box, water, and food, and let him feel safe in there. a couple of my cats are very shy, including the Turkish angora, and sometimes I put him in my bedroom with the door shut, so that he does not start the door. maybe check the animal shelters and craigslist.

If he’s really scared then he is probably hiding close to the house. Check your property thoroughly and talk to your neighbors but don’t put the litter box outside as that could attract other animals that could keep him from returning. If he doesn’t come home soon, you may need to consider setting a trap for him.
