Wife met this sweet stay when visiting a friend in Maui. Had her flown/shipped over and while getting her in our car to drive to Elk Grove she got away☹️

I’m so sorry your sweet kitty is missing. Have you already put out something with your scent like a dirty shirt or blanket that you use? Cats have stronger noses than dogs so it may help her find her way home. If she an indoor kitty she will be close to home hunkered down. She will find the smallest space to fit in if she’s scared. Get her favorite food and call her. She might not come out the first night out of fear. Try again the next day. It took one of my cats 3 days to come out of his hiding place. He could hear me but was too scared to move or meow. Please clink on this link she has helped find hundreds of missing cats bot indoor only abd indoor/outdoor at: www.happycatlady.com Also notify the Animal Care and Control in case they have her or received a call. Knock on neighbors doors in case they’ve seen her including the other side of the block if it’s possible she went into another backyard with street access. Keep calling her at all hours especially the odd hours at night and early morning when it’s quiet. She might not be far away, just too scared to move if something’s spooked her. Cats are excellent at hiding in small spaces. Check with neighbors and post flyers in case someone has brought her inside. Also if you haven’t already post on Nextdoor I’ve noticed there are really nice neighbors who help in out looking for your kitty. It’s recommended to use a camera/ring motion sensor thing to capture the cat eating with a trap, but only when you can watch the camera due to predators . I had two cats (different cats different decades) get out & both times they were super close to home just a few feet away, but scared stiff and chose to hunker down even though they could hear me. So keep looking & maybe knock in a couple doors in case kitty’s trapped. They do love to explore and sometimes that ends up with them being lost or trapped. Also check the surrounding buildings including their attics. Talk to the maintenance men. A while back someone found their cat after several weeks bcs kitty was in an attic of another building & the maintenance man found the cat. I hope she waltz’s in like nothings wrong.
