Sparky came to us as a rescue cat a year ago. He was declawed and had been roaming around neighborhood for months. Since we've had him he's never been outside, and never seemed to want to go. However, he somehow got out yesterday and I didn't realize he was missing until I noticed that his 5 p.m. meal was still in his dish. I spent at least an hour scouring every nook and cranny in our 3-floor hse trying to find him and finally determined that he must have gotten outside. We live on 5 wooded acres with no close neighbors to find him/feed him, so I'm afraid he'll wander quite a distance looking for food. Having never been outside here, I'm not sure he could find his way home.
