Message from Owner

He has been gone for 24 hours now. He has been posted in Facebook, Indy lost pet alert, and Nextdoor. He went missing from Stop 11 and Railroad Rd Area yesterday morning, the Maple Grove housing addition specifically. We have walked and drove all the nooks and crannies nearby. He escaped with his brother, but his brother returned after two hours. He is shy/skittish, but the SWEETEST little boy. He is a blonde dog with very messy hair. He has on a blue collar and he is also microchipped. I can be reached via Facebook, email at Melissa.oran13@gmail.com I can share my cell via message! TIA. 🐾🥺

Hope you find Stanley soon! He’s a cutie. Might I suggest putting up flyers in your neighborhood with his photo and your contact info in case somebody has him or has seen him isn’t on social media sites? Prayers for his safe return.

Stacy Chambliss thank you for thinking of us, but we are a Hamilton County (and north Marion County for owned dog) service. Being Marion County, the owner would want to go to Peaceful Souls Animal Rescue and Recovery site and reach out to them.

Dana Purpura yes that helped us when the same thing happened to us with our 2 dogs. Also we put out the brother in the front yard. It took 3.5 days but our 2nd dog finally came home--ours had a torn ACL so also maybe look in areas where Stanley might be hurt and lying down(?)

Since we are so concerned with my ability to care for Stanley, here is a fresh groom photo. This dog is outright feral and thrives in muddy puddles. I also rescued him from a shelter as a stray. He has worked really hard to overcome stranger anxiety and my biggest fear is he is dehydrated somewhere hiding or someone ran him over. I have shared him on multiple online groups, been in person to the shelter, contacted the shelter I’ve adopted him from, and contacted the microchip company. I’m worried about my dog, less about the opinion of folks that think he is not cared for.

Carmalita Griffin I think there’s a time and a place and I think you’ve missed both. As someone that has long haired dogs, this isn’t abnormal. I know the individual personally and can tell you that her house, her children and her pets are all WELL loved. I think you need to understand the golden rule of if it’s not helpful, kind or otherwise respectful, don’t say anything at all.
