Small elderly black dog found on the side of the road with no collar. Very sweet. I can't tell if there are any injuries but seems to be in good spirits.

I took her to the animal resource center yesterday in Spartanburg. They could not find a chip. They said it appeared she had been hit since she wasn't able to walk and had a lot of pain in her back legs. They said someone probably dropped her on the side of the road because she is elderly and they would most likely put her down. I really hope if she does have an owner looking for her they reach out before it's too late. Idk how long they will hold dogs for or how hard they try to locate owners. I asked around the neighborhood that I found her and no one claimed her. I also waited around 2 hours to see if anyone came looking. She was so sweet and so tired. I wish I could have done more for her. I'm not sure if they will give me an update on what happens to her or not. My heart is broken for this poor baby.
