Cats are usually less than 10 houses from home. If it's an indoor cat they will usually go over the fence and hide somewhere and often do not come out even when you call them. It's very important if you live in a coyote zone that you get over to your neighbors immediately. Knock on the door ask them to check their backyard while you stand there and wait! Rewards inspire people to pay more attention I would put $20 reward phone number and a big picture of your cat on a flyer absolutely nothing else not lost cat nothing. And tape it on all the garage doors on your street and the one behind you. Do not leave the litter box outside if you live in a coyote zone it draws coyotes.

Please take the time to read my entire reply. This information is important if you are actively searching for your cat. Check the culverts near you daily. You will need a rechargeable or fresh battery, high lumen flashlight. Search at night with your flashlight because cats eyes glow at night. Walk or drive on the streets ten houses in every direction. Concentrate your search on your entire street and adjacent streets. You can also set up some dry food feeding stations with wild life cameras in the culverts, backyard or anywhere you think the cat is frequenting near you. You will likely need a trap after the cat is sighted because the cat will be in flight mode. Cats will ignore / run from their owner when in flight mode. Contact HARTT to be on stand by with their free trap service to be utilized when the cat is sighted. Do not call or chase when you see the cat. Sit down, body posture tilted away and calmly speak continuous random talk to snap the cat out of flight mode. Have its favorite canned food with you or bring a plate to tap with a spoon if that is how you prepare its dinner. The cat will come to you or you can grab the cat when you see its eyes become undilated. Do not long stare the cat in the eyes because it will think you are hunting it. Slow wink and look slightly away to calm the cat instead. Do not fall for scams saying they have your cat at the vet and you need to send money for surgery or the drone search scam that requires you pay them up front. Your cat will come home on its own or you will find your cat if you don’t give up.
