Message from Owner

It's been 5 days and we are devastated at the loss of our little baby Willow. She ran away on Wednesday morning. She was stuck in my grge when I opened the door and she bolted scared I'm sure. She's never been outside. I know she's cold and hungry. If you know anyone who has information on where she might be please call or txt me @. I've already had one scammer try to get $ from me and sent a fake pic as proof. We are in mourning so please be honest. This has ruined our Christmas, especially our little girls. Also, if you have her PLEASE, PLEASE give her back. It would mean the world to us! Thank you everyone and happy holidays.

Darlene DeRoy They should *not* put the litterbox out, that can attract predators, stray dogs and other cats who will attack the cat when it tries to return home.

Go to local shelters, Jacksonville Humane Society (Beach Blvd.) and especially Jacksonville *and* Clay County's Animal Care & Control Services *in person* & ask to see all of their "stray intake" cats in case she was captured by them or turned in there by someone else who found her. Also search/post on Pawboost. Is she microchipped?

Cats that normally do not go outside do not go very far. They will hunker down in the bushes in your yard or your neighbor's yard. You may be so close to them that you can actually step on them and not see them. So look extremely closely. Go out there with some food or some treats in a bag or a can shaking it calling their name. If it's safe to do so and you have another person in your house, have them stay inside with the door open from which your cat escape from. When you are outside calling and shaking the can and looking for he or she, have that person inside with the door open. Cats normally will run back into the same door area but if it is closed they will leave. At night, go out there with the food doing the same thing but with a flashlight looking for the reflection of their eyes. If you have a garage door leave your garage door open a few inches. Also cats have been known to come home between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. so you'll need to check frequently. Put a piece of clothing of your cat's most beloved person outside. Cats can smell up to 1 mi away. But do not under any circumstance put the litter box out. That will attract predators. Cats cover their excrement for a reason. If you put the litter box outside, your cat will leave the area. I will also share.

Terry Thomas I suppose it could be possible but why would you be so insensitive and go there when they're already distraught and grieving?! Use your brain

Has anyone told you to take an article of your clothing with your scent on it and put it outside?

My cat jumped off my balcony and was gone for 4 days, I cried and I prayed that God would help me find her. On the 4th nite, I heard Him tell me to get some of her litter, pour it in the ground outside my balcony, and I did. As I turned around there she was, just looking at me. I ran scooped her, and brought her upstairs. Happily home. True story!
