Leave the door she left from open! Studies show they are close by, terrified, and want to come home but don't know how. Put things with their scent outside the door. Don't l ave food or litter outside because it draws predators. Look for your kitty at night with a flashlight. Don't yell their name, but talk to them softly and calmly use their name as you walk. Look EVERY night. Don't give up. If you leave the door ajar, she might come home in the middle of the night. Put Lost Cat signs up in your neighborhood.

The cat is still around the house or neighbors house, he/she hasn't left yet, or they usually don't leave until 24 hrs. later!! Get food, water and something with the owner's scent and put it outside for the cat!! Look for him/her, culverts, drains, garbage cans, bushes, fences, outside porches and houses, under vehicles, behind anything that will cover him, (I found my cat behind two 2 x 4's one on top of the other), so they will hide where they are because they are scared!! Call his name the entire time you are searching for him!! If after 2 days you do not find him, get References for a GOOD Pet Tracker, do not get the References or Tracker online FB!! Put posters w/ph.no./email 1 to 5 mile radius, call his name normally as you go, put the poster near the roadway and businesses so people will see them, ask anyone you see if they have seen him, this is for a cat that has been neutered/spayed!! Email All VETS a poster w/ph.no./email, is he microchipped and registered?? Call all shelters to see if he is there, email them a poster w/ph.no./email!! Go to several pounds to see if he is there, leave a poster w/ph.no./email even if they are closed! CALL every 2 days to see if he is there until caught, go now to see the persons in charge, leave a poster w/ph.no./email with them, look around the pound for him/her while you are there!! I hope you find him/her!!

Tiny, and GORGEOUS! Please relay this to your neighbor ? I’m sure you’re already searching like it’s a full-time job …. As you all are out searching, it’s important to TALK to your neighbors, showing Smokey's photo, leaving your contact info. People will help keep eyes out when they know how much she means to you. Cats can become trapped in sheds or crawlspaces and need human help to get out. Contact shelter; don’t lose heart in your search ❣️ It takes your time and hope, but You can find your baby !
