Gata is still missing. There was a sighting of her a few blocks from where she went missing over a week ago. This gives me a lot of hope that with neighbors looking out for her she will find her way home. Thank you for keeping an eye out for Gata!

You might want to post her as missing on the Nextdoor website for your area and on the Lost My Kitty website. This site can help contact local vets and rescue agencies for you. Also report her as missing at your local Humane Society and/or Animal Control and go there often in person to look for her (especially at Animal Contol since it' may be a shelter). Don't assume they will call if someone brings her in. Also go door to door to neighbors and let them know she's missing. Ask if they've recently had a shed or garage open that she might have run into and is stuck in. They can help keep an eye out for her too. I've heard that the best times to go out and look for them is in the very early mornings and very late evenings when it's quiet and she might come out when you call for her. Don't go out in a group or with children. Just one or two people gently calling for her. If it's dark, take a flashlight and look for eyeshine in small spaces like under decks, bushes, cars and also up in trees near the trunk in case she got chased up a tree. Some can be very quiet in trees. She is probably close by but just too frightened to come out of hiding or come back inside. Best wishes on finding your sweet cat. ❤️
