Look under porches, in bushes, places he could hide. He got out in the middle of the night and I believe he got scared by something and is hiding

I’m so sorry your fur baby is missing. I’m posting a few tips to to help you find her and I realize that perhaps you’ve already tried some of them. (But hopefully there’s still a point or two you’ll find helpful.) Please put her bed/blanket or an unwashed article of your clothing outside, the scent will help her find her way home. (Experienced rescues advise not to use soiled cat litter as it can attract predators and aggressive cats.) If she’s an indoor only kitty, she’s probably close but hiding. Check under the house, porches, and in sheds and garages, anywhere she may be trapped. Ask your neighbors to do the same. Ask them, too, to check their Ring cameras. If she’s not home by tonight, search under bushes and shrubs with a flashlight, her eyes will reflect the light and you'll be able to see her. Best time to search is late night and early morning when it’s most quiet outside. Call her name softly and gently shake a treat bag. Also, leave open an entrance to your home in case she comes home late at night. Post on Pawboost and Nextdoor , excellent additional resources that can assist you. If you can, put up fliers throughout your neighborhood and report her as missing to local vets. Finally, be sure to file a lost kitty report with your county shelter, Bonnie Hays Shelter 503-846-7041. Send a photo to them, if possible. Many people don’t use social media, so the shelters are often the first place they turn to. Last but not least, beware of lost pet scams. They appear to be on the increase these days. All my best wishes for a speedy reunion. U Generic male Generic female I’m so sorry your fur baby is missing.
