However she got out. She will try to return so leave open. Put out anything she will know the scent of, clothes, blanket ect. Look close by in every single hiding place because she probably is scared, and if you haven’t found her by nightfall, she will come out at night, thinking she is safer to roam around🙏🏻

**Your cat is missing!? What to do: They are almost certainly hunkered down very close to where they got out and are hiding. Contain the other pets and then leave the door kitty exited the house OPEN especially at night. Keep house quiet, and turn off interior and exterior lights. Cats will move around in the wee hours of the night. Go outside at night (1-4 am) with a strong flashlight and shine it around. Under cars, in trees, etc. The light will catch their eyes and they will be easier to spot. Call your kitty. Shake their food bowl or open a cat of food, whatever sound they associate with food. Relocate security cameras and point them at the door kitty exited as well as other parts of house and yard. Monitor cameras live. Cameras are key! If an outdoor only cat is missing, set up a feeding station and put a camera on it. Put up flyers at intersections within 1 mile. Try to get those flyers laminated so they last. Keep flyers simple, like this: 1) LOST CAT 2 ) [color photo] 3) short description of color/markings ("grey tabby with white nose") 4) your phone number Walk paper flyers onto neighbors' porches. Flyers are how I found my missing cat. Make sure neighbors are keeping an eye out for your cat. Ask them to check sheds, garages, vehicles etc. Many cats get accidentally locked in. DO NOT put kitty's litter box outside. It can cause territorial issues with neighborhood cats or predators like coyotes and dogs.
