Unfortunately, every rescue we've contacted won't help. Too full or because he's not sick/injured. Shelters are at their limit too. We can't put him back on the street, that would be awful, but we can't afford to keep him anymore. Is there anyone here that would be willing to take a standard poodle? He's great with other dogs and livestock. Very energetic, loves to play, loves long walks or runs. Already house trained. Very cuddly. He isn't neutered yet dosen't seem interested. Could use a little obedience training. Very smart but definitely not food driven. He does have separation anxiety and might need a friend. We need him to go to a good home. We can't hold out for much longer.

My brother and I are looking to find any rescues that can take him. Too many are full. And Animal Control just told us to release him onto the streets. Which is a terrible thing to say. All we wanted was for him to make it home but I guess that's too much to ask. Can't fix everything...

Another update. Unfortunately I can't keep him at my house. He gives my cats bad anxiety, one isn't eating well. I've tried calling vets and groomers with no luck. If his family isn't found soon I'll have to get a rescue to take him in.

Don Wright Wait... IN Walmart? As in he was with someone? Or walking around outside it lost? Either way I'll be contacting the vets and groomers around Choctaw. I hope we're getting closer. Thank you for helping us.

For anyone looking for an update — This dog is at mine and my brother's place. So, he's out of the street and has food and water. He is chipped but the number isn't registered on any pet finder websites we've visited. He's well groomed, friendly, and house broken. Whoever lost him probably misses him. We're still searching for his family.
