Cream/tan colored small dog. No collar/tags. Friendly

Saw this dog running around before the 4th of July, thought it may have gone back home but then it was seen nearby on the morning of the 6th. It laid out in a driveway all day and was in the same spot when I came back home. Gave it food and water but no one nearby seems to recognized it. I am unable to secure the dog because I have cats indoors and no fence for my yard.

The dog was not chipped I took him to be checked. He is now at the animal shelter. I very much believe he belongs to someone so hopefully he is reunited before he is given to someone else. He is safe and indoors being cared for for now.
