Message from Owner

He is not technically my cat! But I have been taking care of him over a yr! He shows up same times morning and night and sticks around till dark! Was going to take him with me once I moved into a bigger place that would be suitable for 3 cats and where I was able to separate from my 2 cats until they could get along! I just want to know what has happened to him! Please good or bad I need to know! Thank you!

Time is of the essence. Cats don’t go far from home. Don’t wait for social media to bring your cat home, you need to be proactive. Leave the door/window the kitty exited from open 24/7. If unable, then crack garage door open 24/7 enough to get in. Hang worn clothes and/or your pillow case in a tree or on top of shrubs to create a scent trail. Knock on neighbors doors with a picture asking them to keep an eye out. See if they can check Ring cameras for any sighting. Post signs with kitty’s picture as many as possible, include surrounding neighborhoods. Go out late at night with a flashlight, shaking a bag of food, calling kitty’s name, looking under shrubs for their shining eyes. Post on Ring, Nextdoor and check shelters. Don’t give up. 💕

Clearwater, FL - Lost Dogs, Cats & Pets - PawBoost Please post on lost and found pets of Pinellas county If you have lost a cat read my first long paragraph. If you found one, Please read the last paragraph The only way a lost cat can find its way home is with its nose. Immediately anything with the cat's scent on it and anything that stinks of you like your smelly socks something that you sweated in overnight and your stinky sneakers even your dirty clothes and your underwear! Cats usually stay within a five house radius of their own home for up to a week sleeping in the bushes and coming out at dusk Dawn and late at night. These are good times to take walks shaking the treat bag and calling for them. Cats can smell up to a whole mile away. So do that immediately and also put this on nextdoor. com and the other lost and found pet sites. Go on those sites looking at pics of found cats too. There might be a match. They tend to come home late at night or early in the morning so if you can keep a window cracked or a door cracked so at least you hear them. Good luck IF YOU HAVE FOUND A CAT: Please post this on all the lost and found pet pages in your county as well as all the neighborhood pages. Look on those pages just look at the photos try to make a match to someone that lost this cat. Any vet will check for a chip for free. In the meantime please give food and water to the kitty and shelter if you can.

—Do Not leave out litter box. Leave out your fur baby’s blanket or bed. —Go to every business nearby and neighbor and ask them to check crawl spaces, bats, garages, sheds, under decks, etc. —you should check and have neighbors and businesses also Check water heater closet, behind oven or washing machine dryer etc - any space a cat could get into —Flyer if they aren’t home. All over. —Posters. —They’re usually very close by unless they got chased. —Check up trees at night. ******❤️❤️ Dusk (and even night, but especially dusk) and Dawn - these are good times to sit outside and talk loud enough for pets to hear you, but without panic in your voice. Talk to yourself. Hum. A friend’s cat went missing and she almost gave up after 2 weeks. She was sitting outside on her front steps one early evening and just talking and singing, sleep deprived. Then she was talking to herself. Her cat walked right up to her. It can’t hurt. Hear mama’s or papa’s voice, without panic. —Put reward amount on flyer 🙏 —when you check for messages here, check “message requests” - usually 3 lines/bars or so to click to find that option.

Check Humane Society of Pinellas. They recently partnered with the Humane Society of Tampa Bay and he may have been transferred.

Hi! Please go walking through the neighborhood calling your kitty’s name and shaking his/her bag of food or bag of treats and use a laser toy to lure your kitty out to chase the laser pointer. Use a flashlight at night. Look under cars, by bushes and any other place where he/she can be hiding. If possible leave your garage and lanai door partially open. Your cat will try to get back inside, especially during time when it is dark outside. The only way to find the way home again is by smell. Use some of your used clothes, put them outside along with his/her bed and litter box but ONLY if you are keeping an eye on the litter box because it can attract predators. Go in person to the local shelter to check if your cat is there. Call your cat’s microchip company to report him/her missing. Post on Facebook Lost and Found Pets groups of your area. Check on Petco LoveLost website. There are many lost and found cats on that website. Post on Neighbors by Ring App. Its free and you don’t have to have a Ring Doorbell to get the app. There are Apple and Android versions of the app 🙏🏼 Post also on Nextdoor app Prayers for your baby’s safe return 🥺🙏🏽
