I have given him a bath and a haircut, will be taking him to the vet if I can’t find the owner in the next week. Definitely trying to not judge anyone’s situation and if I do find the owner going to offer to help or keep the dog if he is too much work for them. If I can’t find the owner I am happy to keep him with my other dogs as he is getting along nicely with them! I have another doodle so I understand how much labor is required to keep them groomed.

Don't be such negative Nancy's! You have no idea what situation the owner is in. Just be nice is all or don't say anything. The point is to get this pup home to its owner. Not judge!

He’s posted on multiple websites, I took him to the local vet to scan for the chip and they didn’t know him. There are potential leads but I’m just waiting to hear back from them.

Why would you wanna reunite that dog with the owner when it’s not even be taken care of that dog needs a bath and a haircut and a vet checkup whoever owns that dog shame on you dog should never be treated like that

The owner may not be on fb. Would you be able to see if you can post a flyer at local bysinesses..like gas station..grocery store? Have you let the shelter know you have the pup..incase ownsr is looking? A local vet may know the dog🤷‍♀️....thank you for caring for the pup🥰
