Shared. Please have the kitty scanned for a microchip asap. Some pet stores and most veterinary offices will do it for free. Post the kitty on Nextdoor, and file a found report with the shelter right away. You don't have to surrender the kitty to file the report. Check on Pawboost; the kitty could be reported missing on the website. Go back on their posts at least a few weeks to be sure. Ask for proof when someone contacts you to claim the kitty; pay very close attention to the kitty's reaction to the person. If no information can be found and you need to rehome the kitty, please contact local rescue groups for advice and help. Good luck đŸ’•
