Steve is more than “just a dog” to us — he’s family. ❤️ When we rescued Steve from the humane society, he came from a neglect and hoarding situation and was terrified of the world. It took so much patience, love, and time for him to learn that he was safe. Watching him slowly come out of his s over the years has been one of the most rewarding things we’ve ever experienced. Today, near the Buc-ee’s in Auburn, Alabama, Steve unexpectedly got the car window down and jumped out while we were stopped. We are absolutely heartbroken and desperate to bring our boy home. Steve is a brown lab mix, around 35 lbs, wearing a blue collar, and microchipped. He is very scared of strangers and may run if approached, so please do not chase him. If you see him, please message or call us immediately with a location or photo if possible. If you know us, you know how deeply loved our dogs are. Our family does not feel whole without Steve.
