.Please place his bedding 🛏outside, along with the owner's unwashed clothing👚👖 front and back door 🚪with some tuna 🐟 on each entrance, you can leave your garage door a bit open as well. In case it comes in that way. And leaving food there as well...supervise food outdoors. Also vacuumed home 🧹dirt in a stocking hanging it in front and back of home🏡 enterence . You can also add some catnip 🌱in a stocking hanging by your entrances. Show your neighbo🖼picture of the cat. Ten houses to the left ten house to the right front and back if they spot him to give you a call☎️ immediately. Go early in the ☀️morning and shake treats calling the cats name when things are quiet.. Tell neighbors to check their sheds and garage.Just in case it's trapped.. Also, you can install a camera 📹to monitor and see if the cat is around your house . Best of luck 🍀finding your kitty 🙏 ❤️🏡🐾

Zohar my cat just did this, she's an inside cat that has never been outside at this house. She was almost feral 5 years ago, lived outside 24/7 until I moved here 18 months ago. She was gone 16 hours. They rarely leave the area. Just leave food and treats out. Keep a sweatshirt with your scent on it and his blanket or something else with his scent on it. Keep calling his name just like you would for treats. When you see him, don't freak out. Just sit down and offer treats and love. Raising voice or changing tone can cause them to run again. He will come back♡ I would also walk along the trail behind your house calling his name gently. ♡

Many years ago that same thing happened to me. I was just moving in and the kitty escaped. I walked all over the place for 2 weeks. I finally found him, 2 doors down. Frightened cats don't take off running like dogs do. I'll bet he's close by. Go out at night to look for him. Good luck .

I am the owner of Darcy, and we are devastated. We just moved in, and he must be confused and scared. He will have a hard time finding his way in an unfamiliar place. We placed some items outside for him. He is wearing a harness and a collar with our contact information on it. Please DM me if you see him. Thank you so much

Kathie Orias Hodges thank you. We put his things out, and our cloths too. We will put fliers tomorrow. We just moved in and do not have a printer yet. He is chipped, and has a collar with his name and phone number (but it is snap off so)

You can post to Lost and Found Pets of Salem Oregon at: https://www.facebook.com/share/1K94NUUiTV/ Put up fliers right away. Put your pet's bed and a piece of your clothing from the dirty laundry where you last saw him/her so if your pet comes back they will smell it and stick around. You could also leave food and drink. When you get your pet back, you might want to consider getting an Apple Airtag to put on its collar so you can immediately see where they are. I got one from Amazon for my cat and it tracks her anywhere she goes. When it gets dark, take a flashlight around the area where you live and call them repeatedly, look in trees, bushes, under porches and decks, and alert the neighbors. If they like treats, take the treat can and shake it. After our cat went missing for 2 days, we found her in a tree at our neighbor's house. Big dogs were in the yard so she couldn't get down. Indoor cats usually stay within 3 to 5 houses around you.
