Oscar is very dear to us. Please help us find him. He’s been missing for over 48 hours now and we have been looking each day. He goes outside a lot but he always comes back, and now we have no idea where he is. If any information can be given about his whereabouts please let us know. He’s a very dear family member to us and we miss him a lot.

Shared. If you have not yet done so, notify Toronto Animal Services and check their website for found cats. Carefully check around your home and property, focusing on small, hidden spots like closets, dresser drawers and hidden nooks and crannies, as cats often hide nearby when scared. Unneutered male cats can travel long distances in search of females in heat and have trouble finding their way home. Alert local feral cat feeders who may spot one or both searching for food. Search all nearby shrubs, bushes and trees, window wells, garages and sheds. Ask nearby neighbours to do the same. Also alert local vet offices, rescues and shelters. Cats will usually stay near the door they left for a day or two before searching for food. Leave their used littler and some food and water in hidden places near that door now and check at dusk. Repeat at dusk if no sign and check at dawn. See Pawboost for more ways to find and sample posters. Put a notice in nearby neighbours mailboxes, post on local notices boards, in community centres, churches and schools. Go out after dark bring food and treats, search a 5-10 block radius, stop periodically and softly call but do not make an loud noises or sudden moves. Lost cats are terrified and do not recognize their owner as safe.
