Check shelters in person. If not already done, have your pet microchipped as soon as you’re reunited. If already chipped, call the microchip company to report pet lost and make sure your contact information is correct.

If he is chipped call the company and update your information.
If he is an indoor cat then he is probably scared and hiding nearby and will be more likely to come out when it is quiet and dark.
Put out a crate with his bedding,also your dirty clothes, sneakers, socks etc to help him smell his way home. Cats are scent driven.
Leave near an entry points, partially open screen door or garage.
Go out later in the night or early morning call out by name in normal voice shake a bag treats and listen for any movement or sounds from your kitty
Put his pic on your car window and/or your front yard. If someone sees him around complex or neighborhood they might recognize pic.
