Former police dispatcher and current pet sitting business owner. Here are some tips if you haven’t tried them yet…. 1) Contact all local/area vets. 2) VISIT - personally go inside shelters. Do not rely on phone calls. 3) Contact neighbors/fliers 4) Create FB page/website just for kitty. 5) Offer reward. 6) Many recommend putting his litter box out by front door - others say that can draw other animals…. 7) Never, ever give up!Read More
Time is of the essence. Cats don’t go far from home. Don’t wait for social media to bring your cat home, you need to be proactive. Leave the door/window the kitty exited from open 24/7. If unable, then crack garage door open 24/7 enough to get in. Knock on neighbors doors with a picture asking them to keep an eye out. See if they can check Ring cameras for any sighting. Post signs with kitty’s picture as many as possible, include surrounding neighborhoods. Go out late at night with a flashlight, shaking a bag of food, calling kitty’s name, looking under shrubs for their shining eyes. Post on Ring, Nextdoor and check shelters. Don’t give up. 💕Read More
Try Going out late at night ie midnight and again early am ie 5 or 6 am with their smelly food and treats. Shake treat bag and call out their name. Take a flashlight and check under porches and bushes. Also if you can leave a bat window and garage door open so they can get in. Do for multiple days if needed. Good luckRead More
