Message from Owner

If anyone can keep an eye out for Mango I would really appreciate that, he’s been gone for a while I unfortunately assumed he would come back because I heard of a lot of instances where cats come back after awhile but he hasn’t come back and honestly I just hope he’s okay he’s turns 1 next month and I’d really like to celebrate his birthday with him.

Valeria Hila that's a hard lesson to learn. Be sure to contact the chip company and tell them that he's missing. Also make sure your contact info is up-to-date on their website. If you haven't already, put up flyers everywhere as many people aren't on social media. Give flyers to every vet clinic, rescue, and shelter in the area in case he turns up. Ask all of them about any local TNR groups and community cat feeders, and give them flyers too, in case he turns up at a colony somewhere. Ask your neighbors to check their cameras, garages, sheds, and crawlspaces. Ask them if they had any visitors or contractors doing work on their houses around the time he went missing. If so, call the visitors and businesses and ask them if they had an accidental stowaway. Walk the entire neighborhood in the wee hours with a flashlight and look for glowing eyes. Call him in a regular voice (not panicked) and gently shake a treat bag if he likes that kind of stuff. If he's injured or scared, he's probably hunkered down and hiding, but he may not answer you when you call. That's just instinctual, as a vocal cat gives away their location to predators, and an injured cat is prey. When he comes home, you might consider building or buying a catio (some people have bought pre-made chicken coops and "attached" them to their houses with kitty access through a window); or, if you have a fenced-in yard, consider putting up cat-fencing or coyote rollers on top of the fence to keep him safely in your yard (both can be DIY). Good luck ❤️

Beverly Fahema DuPuy Ernest He is neutered, indoor/outdoor, and microchipped when I got him I got one of those little tags from home again but never put it on him because he was little and I didn’t plan on letting him outside.
