Legally, you must make a good faith effort to find the owner of a dog before you can rehome. It would be better to take him to PACC so they can neuter give him his shots and a microchip.

Make an online report with lost.petcolove.org which post to the PACC website using facial recognition. Make an online report with the Humane Society. Check on the PACC website under your dogs that have been lost.

Put out flyers in a very large area around where he was found. Sometimes PACC is able to track down the owner with a chip that is not registered. They couldn’t this timeH?
