I found this Baby while walking on west side ave, she is way too small to survive on her own so I took her with me, I cannot keep her as my building has a one pet restriction and I already have a cat

Would really love some help getting her adopted to a good home as I cannot keep her and am regretting if u have to take her to the shelter tomorrow, please help, she’s definitely about 5 or 6 weeks old she’s really small ☹️

I can’t keep her I already reached out to my landlord to check, they said no pets, also I’ve called jersey city animal shelter they said they have a surrender list and the lady was pretty rude over the phone unfortunately asking why did I take the cat, I did wait around for about 2 hours to see if any other kittens were there or the mom and nothing and she was really dehydrated and malnourished so I couldn’t just leave her there 😣 I called newark and they said because it’s jersey city they can’t do anything either

Thanks for bringing inside to safety, food and water. Can you take it to a vet to scan for chip? The vet may also recognize the kitty and be able to contact its owners. Check with other local vets as well and contact the police. Also post fliers. And beware of bad actors!!! Also keep checking Nextdoor and Pawboost for cats found in and near your zip code.

Definitely bring her to the shelter, they will find her a good home. She’s adorable. Please do not give away animals on the Internet as you don’t know who you are giving them to, the person that you were giving them to could pretend that they are very nice and meanwhile, they could be an abuser. JC animal shelter will know what to do and how to make sure that that does not happen.
