Our beloved indoor cat, Comet, got out and is dearly missed. Please check outdoor hiding spots (under decks, sheds). She's timid and we so want to bring her .

Every single animal mattersโ€”whether theyโ€™re curled up on someoneโ€™s couch, waiting patiently in a shelter, or wandering the streets as a stray. Animals donโ€™t judge us, they simply give love, loyalty, and companionship. Yet, too often, stray animals are overlooked or forgotten. Behind every stray is a storyโ€”sometimes of neglect, sometimes of loss, but always of resilience and hope. These animals deserve the same kindness and respect as any other pet. They are not โ€œless thanโ€ because they donโ€™t have a home; they are simply waiting for someone to see their worth. By showing compassion, supporting rescues, and spreading awareness, we can help give strays a second chance at life, love, and belonging. Every wagging tail, every playful pat or snuggling nudge, every hopeful set of eyes, is proof that all animals matter. When we stand up for strays, we stand up for the true meaning of unconditional love. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š

Cats enter sheds and garages and often get stuck in sheds and garages for days or longer when the people donโ€™t return. Make and distribute fliers to all neighbors asking them on the flyer to please check their shed and garage. Offer a reward if possible. Cats can survive a long time on insects if locked in a shed/ garage. The cat will likely return to your home. Look for the cat after dusk. Thatโ€™s when the cat will be coming out of hiding after sleeping all day. (Our cat climbed on the roof and fell down the chimney.) Please avoid putting a collar on a cat. If you insist on a collar make absolutely sure itโ€™s a breakaway collar. Predators grasp the collar. Cats climb and jump. The collar snags on things and the cat gets injured or dies. -Sometimes even a breakaway collar fails to release.
