Message from Owner

Fully flighted, but doesn't know how to take care of himself in the wild. If you find him, his diet is nuts, pasta, and fruit (esp. Granny Smith apples). Will probably find a human sometime soon, as he gets more hungry, thirsty and scared/stressed. Missing him terribly. Thank you!

For anyone reading this, Bobbi found spotted a Lilac-Crowned Amazon among the flock of SF Parrots (the famous ones, often called the Parrots of Telegraph Hill, though they go many other places in the city, and don't even sleep on TH), which has been amazing. Still trying to see this one in person to determine if this LCA is actually my bird. Odds are it would be, since they're not a common species, but the jury's still out. Will update the original post once this is resolved.

Oh I gave him Granny Smith's today. You're right, Kili loves them.

Naomi -- Those are 2 of the Telegraph Hill conures (I used to live in Fort Mason, and the Marina and FM are on their daily route), which are similar but, alas, not my guy. Thank you in any case!

Saw 2 green parrots flying around near the Marina. Probably not this one since there were 2 of them. But thought I would post just in case.

Monica Munett Not yet, though did just fend off a scammer who claimed to have him -- and provided an image I easily found to be sourced from a random Pinterest board.
