Why would you ever look for his family clearly he was abandoned and neglected. Has he been taken to a vet to see if he’s chipped and given a nice grooming? Please let me know if I can help.

Hi, thank you for keeping the dog safe. But he needs to go to the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter. The shelter can handle verifying ownership and the owners will know to look there. Not everyone is on social media.
