If someone cannot reach out Openly via the post and sends messages privately should be a RED Flag. We have several jerks out there that are trying to mess up ways we search for out lost pets and need to stay on high alert. Place signs in the area missing and go door to door. Contact the Local ACO - Red Oak animal Care and Control ( 469-218-7721 ) in this case if you haven't already.

LOST DOG Immediately alert the chip company and make sure your info is UTD. File a lost report with local shelters. Go there in person on a regular basis. Post on Next Door and PawBoost. Ignore the pay prompts for PawBoost. Download Ring app and ask neighbors to check their footage. You don’t have to have a Ring doorbell. Put clothes, towels, bedding that smells like you on your porch. Post on as many Lost and Found sites on FB as possible. Do not duplicate posts on the pages as this loses the thread. Dogs usually head north, for some reason, so look in that direction. But obviously check everywhere. Put up clear, simple and brightly colored signs all around the area. Put a sign in your yard with a picture and your phone number. If someone reaches out by text and says they have your dog but wants a code or something in return, it is a scam. Do not fall for it. Also, if someone posts to check with a Pet Tracker on WhatsApp or Instagram, DON’T!!! It’s a SCAM!! A reputable pet detective could help you find your pet. https://lonestarsk9pettrackers.com/
