Description

Bailey disappeared from the only he has ever known on 07/10/2023. Bailey is neutered and microchipped but his microchip number is unknown. He is an INDOOR cat and is terrified of being outside. He has silky soft furr and his face is SOLID black. He is the Grand Champion of Headbonks and will headbonk a tree if he thinks it will rub him. His two brothers, Whiskey and Lil Dat miss him. His best canine buddy Sailor misses him. I am heartbroken and scared he may never find his way back . When he went missing, he weighed almost 18 pounds. Please help Bailey find his way . Please share and if you think you see a cat who resembles him, please contact me. There are a LOT of black and white tuxey's out there and one of them is mine. Please Bring Bailey Back .

Lauren Wingler, Iron Station isn’t that far from us. We live about a mile from 16 and Hwy 73. We are in East Lincoln. Thank you!

For lost cats: Alert neighbors. Post in NextDoor, PawBoost, your local animal control & humane society. Post signs everywhere. Consider hiring a pet tracker: Balynda Brown (who also gives excellent tips) 919-418-7953 call or text. The cat is most likely close. Generally they don't go very far. Try leaving the door cracked open particularly after it gets dark. It may come back in on its own. If possible, set up on Arlo camera or motion detector to see when it is coming around. Leave out food & water so it can survive. Cats often hide in storm drains. Check neighborhood utility buildings & garages. Don't leave out the litter box, it attracts other cats. Try sitting in your car at the street with the car not running. You can watch your house to see if it is coming around. Yes it can take hours. Continue to walk at night & call it. Leave the garage door up about 6 inches so she can come in. You may need to set a humane trap in the area where the cat was lost but Don't leave unattended. People steal traps with animals in them. Don't give up - sometimes it can take a week or two to find them.

Nancy Horton Travis, have you put up flyers with his photo and your information, including your phone number? Given one to each veterinary office in and around your area? If he is an inside cat, you can go out early in the morning or around dusk and call his name softly and search under bushes. Ask neighbors if they had a storage building open around the time he went missing? Hopefully, you checked with Animal Control to let them know he was missing and looked at the cats yourself to see if he was there. I hope he has a microchip. I am sorry he is missing and I hope you find him soon. 😢

Nancy Horton Travis there’s an outdoor black cat with similar markings near us. I’ve tried a few times to catch it but it never wants to come close. It’s in iron station though - orchard rd. I’ll try and get a picture next time I see it! I see it pretty frequently.
