Description

Missing Tabby Cat!! Male Tabby cat has been missing for about 5 days. He is very skittish and will not allow anyone to touch him. He is very likely hiding nearby. If anyone sees him show up in a cat colony looking for food or if he is seen trying to eat any food that has been left out or in dumspters, please contact me. He has severe food allergies and is likely missing much of his hair if he gets into food that he is allergic to. He will not fight another cat for food, he will surrender his food easily.

Message from Owner

Please don't try to pick him up. Call me if he is seen and I will respond as immediately as possible.

He is not fixed. His litter box has been left outside. There is over 10 acres of woods behind my house so I'm hopeful he is somewhere in the neighborhood and someone can spot him. We have been walking around with his cat food bag and calling his name but the strays in this area are plentiful. We made contact with a lady that feeds the neighborhood kitties and she's keeping her eyes open. This cat is going to look very sickly and his hair will be falling out as he's not eating his cat food. That is what will allow him to be distinguished from other tabby cats. Thank you all for your help.

Is he neutered and micrchipped? About how much does he weigh and his age? There are hundreds of Tabby Cats around. Have you heard about the scent trail? Place your worn laundry, your shoes, his blanket/linens on your porch, patio, lawn furniture or on top of your car. Tonight - late about 10pm with flashlight, shine in trees in case he was chased, look under cars, shrubs, sheds. Call him softly while walking in your area. Leave your large garage door cracked up enough for him to get in. Leave laundry in there too. Day or night sit on your porch and sing or talk. Indoor cats are scared and they hide up to 5-6 houses away. They usually come home about 2-4am. Someone recently set their alarm for 130am, looked in the garage first, then went outside calling their furry. The cat came right up to them. Don't put their litter box outside - draws other cats, even dogs and predators. Your cat will smell others and run away. Like Martha said - check the Escambia County Department of Animal Welfare. There are photos online but many many animals are not featured online. My sister's neighbor found her cat there in person after missing 3 months. He was picked up 6 miles from home by someone reporting him. He was in a horrible condition and had been at the animal shelter 2 days. He had been in fights, malnourished and spent several days at the Vet. Don't give up - keep calling and looking. Hope he returns home on his own. 😽

Do this after 10pm. Search in a different direction from where lost ea night. Walk neighborhood while shaking an open bag of Temptation treats (a must for success) as you call her/his name softly, very softly. Also bring a flashlight with you and look on trees, high up in case kitty was chased and climbed up. The eyes will beam like headlights when light is on them. IMPORTANT TO HAVE THE ""TREATS"" & ""FLASHLIGHT"" 🔦 (yr phone might work). Get low on the ground if you see kitty, so not to scare away. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Have these treats for this to work!! Bring kitty's blanket for scent purposes. 🔶️ Bring someone with you do not walk alone late at night, preferably someone kitty likes.🔶️ ♦️♦️CHECK YR LOCAL SHELTER IN CASE IT WAS PICKED UP BY ANIMAL CONTROL OR A NEIGHBOR BROUGHT IN FOR ROAMING. ♦️♦️ Try playing this sound very loud as you search for kitty. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/17PAzfW4/
