Small dogs and cats are usually from a 3 street radius while large dogs could be up to 3 miles from home
Can you please secure them to keep them safe while trying to locate the owners
Please take to vet or Banfield inside petsmart for FREE chip scan. Get a photo of the chip number if there is one. Corona emergency clinic on Main is open 24/7 if you need to take after hours
If they are not chipped, PLEASE do NOT take to the shelter, please hold for at least 48hrs as most owners are found in that time frame. While people believe shelters should be the first place, owners only have 4 days to claim them and may not see the post in time. Additionally many owners cannot afford the fines imposed and the animal is then abandoned with high chance of euthanasia
If the chip is not registered, reach out to me as I work with manufacturers to trace the chip to shelters and vets and can track down the owners

Many owners are frantically searching for their pets and will post to the same sites so please also search these sites
PAWBOOST- check under ‘lost pets’ everyday as sometimes owners and finders do not see each others posts
24PETCONNECT- search under FOUND as this shows all currently missing animals, you can select dogs or cats, please use a 8 mile radius
People have had success putting a sign in their front yard stating FOUND “enter breed or color” and then dog/cat and let the owners confirm proof. Some owners are driving or walking and not using apps
