MESSAGE FROM OWNER

Pee Wee has been a gift to us from the day we got him. If a cat could make lemonade from a lemon that would be PeeWee. He is a lover of life. He is always so happy to get up in the morning to start his day. He thinks he’s the boss of the other cats but he wants to be the baby to mom and dad. He licks his lips when he wants treats, plays fetch, loves to play with plastic forks and straws. In fact when I open the pantry he helps himself to a new fork. Please help us find him. He is the glue that holds our family together. ❤️

DESCRIPTION

Orange on top and white underneath long hair cat. Soft. Very vocal. Loves to play. Still missing

Put his litterbox outside with some sardines so he can smell them. If you can get a live trap that will help. Have neighbors check all garages and sheds in case he got stuck in one. Also check nearby sewers, and in trees because a cat that was missing was rescued out of one. At night go outside with a flashlight and some treats or a bag of cat food and call for him. Shine the flashlight in bushes so you can see his eyes glowing. Many people have found their lost pets between midnight-6 am. Be sure to check all surrounding shelters, rescues and vets in case someone found him and brought him there. Check with your mail carrier as they see alot on their routes. Also check everywhere in the house- closets, drawers, crawl spaces, bat, attic, inside recliners and inside and behind the couch. You can also go outside when it gets dark with a laser pointer and shine it on the lawn- he might see it.If you have a baby monitor put it outside so you can hear him.Leave the garage door up a little bit and put some food in there so he can go in.

Sorry to hear about your kitty being lost. Put his/her litter box outside. Once s/he decides to come out of hiding, s/he will follow a familiar scent to its source. Check around the box often, especially at dusk and dawn. Also look up all tall trees in your neighborhood, since most cats have a habit of climbing trees when chased, and then being too afraid to climb back down. Hope Pee Wee comes home soon!

A few things you can try are: cats are active at night and early morning, walk around the outside of your house/building and whisper their name, do not shout it, the less yelling and excitement the better and then listen for a meow. They usually don't stray very far from home. Put his food/water, catnip, and clothing you wore earlier in the day in front or in back of your house, they say cats can smell up to a mile. Do not leave the food out overnight as it may attract other animals that can scare the kitty away. Go to your neighbors and let them know your kitty got out and give them your contact info. Walk your neighborhood, shake the treat jar and talk to people as you walk and talk to your mail carrier. They see lots of animals and if they see a strange Kitty around they may recognize it as yours. Make sure you call local animal shelters, etc. Cats can disappear for days, weeks, months or longer and return so don't give up!
