Message from Owner

Tucker escaped from our hse this morning at 9:45 am and took off running. I ran after him for over 7 blocks until he just got too far ahead of me. He refused to stop. I almost had him twice but he got away. He ran all the way down Woodrow Wilson Street towards Webb Street (Detroit, MI) We had taken him in about a month ago because his previous owner couldn't keep him. We are heartbroken! 💔

Michelle Ann May stink, your yard up! They can smell a mile away. Also, read the part about chasing your dog. I would say, ninety percent of the dogs i've gotten home won't go to their owners.

You should put out some of his food, some of his blankets, toys and anything that has his scent on it. Also set out some clothing that has your family’s scent on it as well. It may help him find his way back home Also, go out at night w/ a flashlight and shine it around. Dogs eyes glow at night, shine it around in the woods by your house, in any garages or sheds, under any decks / porches & under cars etc

All the above advice + Make sure you go to the shelters, animal control, humane societies & every rescue you can think of in person and check for your dog or cat as often as you can. Don’t rely on just calling to check for them. The shelters are understaffed and overwhelmed; they may not recognize your dog or cat from a description over the phone. Also, put up flers & post on Love of ouie, Pawboost next door, Ring App, etc., etc
