Do you have other pets? Leaving the door ajar they got out of is a tremendously helpful tip and helps many cats get back inside because we never know when they might try to come back in and this gives them immediate access back inside. Also no litter box or food left outside this attracts other animals and you dont want that. I would suggest setting up a live humane trap asap as well. he's probably hiding in some bushes or someplace really close by. Please look with a flashlight tonight just try not to call his name to much this can actually scare an indoor cat in this situation. Try to be calm and quiet while searching and slow. Its crucial you do a good search now and if you dont find him leave door ajar and talk to your closest neighbors tomorrow so they know he isn't used to being outside and to call you immediately if they see him. immediately if they s
