Message from Owner

Jaco was found in the engine (running!) compartment of a truck when he was very young and small. He has been with us since --- a year -- and grown into the lord of the hse. He greets us every morning when we rise and at the front door when we come home. He is very vocal and has something to say about everything. He's not a lap cat yet but loves stroking and kind words. He ran off in a storm this week and hasn't returned. We fear he is trapped somewhere he went for cover. He will be so happy to get back home.

Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon.

First put out a big bowl of water IMMEDIATELY. Then, did you try the kitty litter trick? Take some litter from their box and sprinkle outside leading to your door then call them constantly especially at dawn and dusk and when it's quiet. Kitty will follow its scent and your voice home. It's no doubt scared and hiding. You can also try a stinky can of sardines! Or if kitty is a cuddler, try putting an article of your clothing by your door. Also check area garages, under car hoods, shelters, Nextdoor and Pawboost for found kitties in and near your zip. Don’t give up. And post flyers around your neighborhood. Good luck! And please keep your kitty inside if you let it out!! Between coyotes, diseases, bad actors and cars, there are so many ways harm can come to them. Finally, if your kitty isn’t fixed, please spay/neuter!
