Saw this cat today, hiding in the culvert in front of the One Loudon area DS's station, in Ashburn. Tried to coax it out, but very shy and seemed lost. Saw it today around 5:45 pm.

Christi Smith what are you talking about? I don’t let any of my cats outside…? I agree with all of those statements. If you’re referring to my comment about my fosters all having tipped ears - they were found outside as babies and went through the TNR process but are now in my home as fosters and available for adoption. Please read and understand what was actually said before aggressively questioning someone.

Jessica Puckett Why on the face of this green earth are you letting them outside? Not only are they an invasive species here, but even worse, you are subjecting them to the worst outcomes and the worst suffering imaginable— and frequently, I am sad to say that the suffering that Free roaming pets endure is beyond anything that you or I could imagine. So.

It's certainly possible.

Christi Smith if people and shelters took in every single outdoor cat, they would have to begin euthanizing for space. There are just too many. The majority of cats that are outdoors are happiest OUTDOORS and would spend their "cared for" life hiding under beds.

Anita Bloom it may still be a lost cat, even with the tipped ear. Agree that it means it has been spayed/neutered but it could have also been adopted at some point. My three fosters all have tipped ears.

Carol Andreas yes but sometimes cats with homes also have tipped ears. My three fosters all have tipped ears.

Dora Lea Spring Lucas do you know this cat or are you basing that on the fact that it has a tipped ear? Three of my fosters have tipped ears but they are not outdoor/feral/community cats so just want to verify the statement.
