Usually they don't go too far when they are scared . Hopefully hiding somewhat closer by. When it is quiet , walk around and call his name . If you can put posters or post on nextdoor app.

Get a very big flashlight, a good flashlight. Look early morning, time come out, look late at night after it gets dark. Like 101112 o'clock at night, that's when cats come out cause they feel comfortable, put cat food out every single day and it's just going to be the luck of the drawing single solitary night you look every morning you look every night you call the name if it has a name, you call the name all day long at different times out loud as loud as you can that keeps them in the area. You have just do that right from the get-go and do not give up.I found both my cats one.A month later ,and another 3 months later , doing this exact routine without changing. Take the used cat litter in, sprinkle it all out around your house.I don't care what anybody says how I've done this.It works, but you have to stay consistent.If you don't stay consistent is not going to work, you do not give up.It's just being the right place at the right time

I recommend you look in close neighbours outbuildings we found ours in backyard neighbor RV- they had looked but he hid we found him 3 days later he was fine but I hate to think if we hadn’t. Just have a flyer with you and kindly ask to have a quick look so you can call out to him as cats frequently hide when frightened. I hope kitty is home 🔜 🙏
