Our outdoor cat, Kiki, hopped a ride (unbenownst to me) under/inside my car yesterday when I left during one of the storms to go to SA Nail Salon on East Main. After I had my nails done, I saw a cat that looked like her running into the woods between the nail salon and Willy taco. We went back later yesterday and this morning we walked the trail calling for her. At first, I didn’t think it was possible for a cat to ride under a car for that long, but she is NO WHERE to be found at home. Please keep a lookout for her near there and on the River Birch Trail behind those businesses. My kids are heartbroken!

Borrow a trap from Cat Trap Depot. She will show you how to use it. We are both traveling some for the 4th, but please try to trap her before the fireworks start.

When you walk the trail call her name, don't shout, then stop and listen. If she's treed she'll probably meow. If found up a tree, talking and coaxing while hard tapping the trunk will help her by following the vibrations and back down. It's easy enough for a cat to race up a tree but getting back down not so easy; outside cat or not. Try a whistle call, one longish note followed by a lower longish note and keep at it. My cats, all inside outside cats, came to it the first time my husband tried it. Took a few attempts but it worked. Then even neighborhood cats started showing up. Also bring some snackie bags to shake and canned tuna, smelly stuff. It may take a few trips. Hope you're dedicated and patient ❤️
