Description

Lutino Cockatiel, Female Our beloved cockatiel got out once again from the corner of Homewood Way and Braddock Road and Hampton Forest Way. She gotten out twice before and was found at Fair Lakes once and Fair Oaks Mall the second time within 24 hours after find a caring human and landing on them. She's a strong flyer and extremely friendly and will approach you or land on your head or shoulder. She's a lutino (yellow) cockatiel with orange cheeks. Her crest is missing a small batch on the front left. If you have any sightings or found her, please call/text me.. (Yes, realize this is an ongoing thing, but my elderly mom didn't realize she was perched on her as she opened the door. Productive comments only. Thanks.)

Message from Owner

Was last seen flying north/northeast from Braddock Rd / Homewood Way / Hampton Forest Way at 5pm on 3/25/26. Very friendly and will most likely land on someones head or shoulders. She is a strong flyer and has gotten out before and found within 24 hours and being 4 miles away. Last times she was found near fair lakes and fair oaks mall. She has a very small patch of her crest missing on her left front side.

Posted on Lost and Found birds of the US. Again. Crazy Lini. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1EFmwXDXMZ/?mibextid=wwXIfr We are so sorry to hear your bird is missing. Here are some ideas to assist in your search. *Create a post on Pawboost, NextDoor & Ring, if you haven’t already. *During the daytime: use a wireless Bluetooth speaker to broadcast flock calls or your voice, shake treat bags or anything that might attract attention to food, put the cage out where it can be seen. *During the evening when searching is over, design & print off flyers with photo & contact information. These can be encased in a ziplock to keep weatherproof & posted in areas where allowed like parks, poles & any nearby gathering areas. Also drop off some at vet clinics, pet supply stores, anything within a 5 mile radius. Contact local shelters/rescues & even the police dept - they do pick up found/stray pets all the time. Make sure the world knows - neighbors esp ones that have bird feeders/baths/pools. Hand them out while searching the area. Join every local social media group there is. Run an ad in your local newspaper - some run one for free in lost & found (or cheap). Also check with local bird watcher groups - they’re always out & about. Flyers cannot be placed in mailboxes. *PLEASE CHECK WITH LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS & FILE A MISSING PET REPORT*
