He may not be far away. Just wanted to spring out on you and then got too scared that it was so cold. They get really freaked out so go out and shake a treat bag or a favorite noisy toy and call for him. Alert neighbors he is missing and ask them to check their garages and sheds and under bushes and decks. Look for his eyes at night with a flashlight. Make some emergency home refuge. Put the garage up a foot and have a warm blanket and bowl of water there for him. You could try a live trap inside your garage there baited with his favorite food or stinky tuna. But in this cold weather you have to monitor it more frequently. And only when you’re home and try it a few days until you go to bed. You can also try putting a feral cat tub with insulation and straw out for him right up against your home by a door so he has a way to stick around. Register him to each Lost website including Winnebago County. Check the shelter in person frequently. Put the posters up near you and further out at major crossroads. And inside Petsmart. Look around for neighbors that have an open garage or shed. Ask them to let you search. Post to Facebook asap. Have a friend help you look for social media posts. Good luck. 🍀 Hope you spot him.Read More
