Bila is at the animal shelter in Doral. Oliver and I have been posting on social media and making calls relentlessly since yesterday to the county and clinics and they all told me that I needed to go to Animal services in Doral to get the owners information since the dog is NOT microchipped and the rabies tag has no information. I went to get information. They wouldn’t give me the owners information. They told me they would reach out to the owners and I could foster her until then. I didn’t want her to stay at the shelter since she’s fragile so I filled out the foster form until the owner was found. While I was there, Ale on Nextdoor put a message and I immediately called the owner since she only speaks Spanish, and I do not, I requested help from one of the employees at the animal shelter to communicate with her. She was the owner and she claimed ownership of Bila over the phone. Once they spoke, they wouldn't let me foster Bila or return her to the owner because now it was the employee's responsibility and they could no longer handover the dog to me to foster her tonight or even return to the Owner. For now, they have BILA at the shelter overnight. I was so against keeping her there overnight, but I guess I have no option left and I'm hopeful that the Owner will come tomorrow morning and pick up Bila. I tried to call the owner again to tell her if she could request the shelter to give me authorization to pick Bila and drop her off to her address since I was already there and that way Bila wouldn't have to spend the night at the shelter but I called her back and asked her if she could please communicate in English as I don’t speak Spanish and she was pretty rude and hung up on me.
