Large(15 ish lbs) cat. White with gray markings. Pink nose and ears. Super sweet cat but can be shy and skittish. He is highly food motivated and can be coaxed with cat food/treats or canned fish.

I am so scared that Basil has run away far into the desert. I have scoured the neighborhood but he hasn't turned up yet. He can be skittish so I'm worried he might have gotten scared and run too far from home.

Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon.

Please try this, It works, I have done TNR and got my cat back after 2 wks doing this: Get humane trap, buy or get from shelter. Place by your home usually by wall, bush etc at Dusk. cover with towel, use Tuna as bait. Catch another cat, release and keep trying. Cats feel safer at night, have small range they go, and can smell Tuna a block away
