The only way a lost cat can find its way home is with its nose. Immediately put out the dirty litter box along with anything that stinks of the cat and of you. Cats know our scent.too. put out your stinky socks your smelly sneakers something you sweated in overnight even your dirty underwear seriously and also put out the cat's food along with the dirty litter box. Cats usually stay within a five house radius of their own home for up to a week sleeping in the bushes and coming out at dusk Dawn and late at night so those are good times to call out and shake the treat bag. They can smell up to one mile away from their own home. Good luck

Coon is a cute mackerel brown tabby cat (is that a white spot on her nose?) -- I'm sorry she's lost. Is Coon an escaped indoor cat or is she allowed outside? Her familiarity with the environment will dictate how to find her. Escaped indoor cats usually hide close by but are too frightened to return or respond when called; while a cat that knows her way around may have become stuck somewhere and needs help getting home. I have recovered many lost cats and assisted others so if you tell me about Coon I can provide complete instructions that may help. Please understand if you do just the right things an escaped cat may emerge when it's dark and quiet to sneak back inside. This usually happens within the first few nights and I see it's been longer but until I hear back from you please implement this strategy if Coon got out accidentally: tonight put something small but comforting and familiar outside (blanket or worn teeshirt laid flat -- not a bed, trap, or anything conuous) and tempting food at her point of escape, then watch from inside (DO NOT GO BACK OUT AFTER DARK!) and if you see Coon approach be careful not to startle her. Slowly and quietly provide a clear path inside and she may put an end to the crisis herself. (You may occasionally call for her overnight, but do so softly and from the doorway -- going back outside could scare her away. If you can't wait up set an alarm and watch again just before sunrise -- it's a popular time.) Also, although some will suggest putting out kitty's litter box, experts say DON’T DO IT. I've never used one in all the times I've been successful recovering a lost cat. Please read this to learn more about why it's neither necessary nor recommended: https://www.facebook.com/notes/lost-cats-georgia/why-we-dont-recommend-putting-your-lost-cats-litter-box-outside/1101245526665296/

Hi! Please go walking through the neighborhood calling your baby’s name and shaking his/her bag of food or bag of treats. Use a flashlight at night. Look under cars, by bushes and any other place where he/she can be hiding. If possible leave your garage and lanai door partially open. Your cat will try to get back inside, especially during time when it is dark outside. The only way to find the way home again is by smell. Use some of your used clothes, put them outside along with his/her bed. Prayers for your baby’s safe return. Post his/her on Neighbors by Ring App. There are Apple and Android versions of the app 🙏🏼 https://apps.apple.com/app/id1218902777 Post him/her on NextDoor App too 🙏🏼
