*Indoor cats don't usually go far. Take a flashlight and look anywhere she could hide - under houses, porches, steps, behind shrubbery and any OUTBUILDINGS she could have gotten closed up in. The flashlight will reflect her eyes. *Put her litterbox outside the door, along with something of yours with your scent on it, like dirty socks *Since you were in the midst of moving, there's a chance she could try to make it back to your former residence. Look everywhere in between the two places. It would be a good idea to inform friends/neighbors in your previous neighborhood that she's missing, and place flyers there, too *Are you positive she got outside? Cats can get into unimaginable nooks and crannies in an unfamiliar house. My daughter's new cat got up INSIDE the lining of their sofa. If you've had an attic access open, cabinets and closets, a garage and packing boxes are places she could hide in *Look UP trees in case something chased her *Go out early mornings and late evenings when it's quiet to call and LISTEN for her. If she's scared and hiding, she may not respond immediately to being called, but she may 'answer' you *BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR VEHICLES! Cats will seek out the warmth of vehicle engines when the weather is cold. Pound on the hood, look under the hood and in the wheel wells *Put out BRIGHTLY COLORED flyers in the area with her picture and your contact info on them. Not everyone does social media and they will be seen by kids, neighbors and delivery people *Look near sources of water *Check all other Lost/Found sites and Nextdoor. Some people will post on one and not others *Check any drain pipes, anything she could have fallen into *Keep a porch or garage door slightly open so she can get in, and check any security cameras you might have to see if she's showing up at night *Be sure to check at Gordon County Animal Control, IN PERSON and often *Don't give up! Someone just found their cat by spotting it on a camera after 12 days I hope you find her soon! I know you must be so worried...🙏🏻 https://www.facebook.com/groups/1444964332402452/?ref=share&mibextid=NSMWBT
