Message from Finder

This lost cat started showing up in mid November at 2700 Block and California St NE, Marshall Terrace neighborhood, Minneapolis, NOT Saint Anthony Vlg. Poor guy has been hanging out mostly in our backyard. He is not feral and is sweet to me, but very territorial towards my 2 TNR'd outdoor cats. He has food and shelter for the time being, but I think he must be missing his family. I can't keep him as I have an indoor senior kitty who is very frail and would not survive his territorial behavior. He's probably just scared and in somewhat of a survival mode at this point. I know he must be missing his people.

Karina Larson I checked out your post. How can people be so cruel to kick a lost kitty outdoors on such a cold night. Creeps!!! Good news he at least has been spotted a couple of times, so don't give up hope. My guy has been hanging around since mid November and is still here, but does wander around the neighborhood. Hoping another kind person helps your Nein find his way back to you.

Karina Larson So sorry you sweet kitty is still missing. My guy is not neutered (unfortunately). I have a home device that checks for microchip and non was detected as I checked from head to tail and both sides. My kitty is a big boy with a big appetite. Being unaltered, he is aggressive and territorial.

Thank you for helping this beautiful little soul! You can get the baby checked for a microchip for free at most vet clinics or the humane society. Please put in a safe spare room to keep away from all the dangers outside, such as bad weather, coyotes, owls, eagles, raccoons, dogs, poisons, disease, traps, cars, and bad humans! Please don't give to just anyone because there are cruel people out there that get pets for horrible reasons like dogfighting bait and other sickening things! Make sure that anyone who tries to claim the cat has absolute proof of ownership such as photos and veterinarian records or receipts, and can identify specific markings, personality, voice, etc! Most healthy adult cats tolerate temperatures down to about 45-50°F (7-10°C), but prolonged exposure below 45°F (7°C) becomes risky, and freezing temperatures (32°F/0°C and below) pose serious risks like frostbite and hypothermia for any cat, especially kittens, seniors, or sick pets, requiring insulated shelter, unfrozen water, and limited outdoor time to stay safe.
