Here’s a list of things to do, don't do, and other info to help get you reunited again with your little one. Do: Check particularly at night, late night, early morning (flashlight to to see glowing eyes). Look under cars, in bushes, garages, sheds, and on roofs. Check a radius around your house and neighborhood behind you. Put cameras outside facing all directions. Talk outside, they could hear you and come out. Update microchip info. Put dirty clothing or sheets outside. Put flyers up. Contact nearby vets. Be proactive and out there, this has the highest chance of being reunited. Post/search through lost/found and sites (list below). Do Not: Put dirty litter outside. It attracts coyotes, bobcats, mountain lions, etc. and territorial cats. Put dirty clothes, sheets, etc instead. Lots of rescues shun putting the litter box outside for safety reasons. Set a trap and just leave it, always monitor a trap multiple times a day. Post/search/list: Note about shelters: Updated daily, don't limit by zip cause they don't always put one, and info can be wrong or missing (age, color, gender). Go asap. 24petconnect (Updated multiple times a day) petfbi petco love lost lostmykitty pawboost (free and paid versions. Watch for scammers. Some will say someone on IG helped them, they have your pet text or write them on messenger, or sometimes they’ll send a pic that looks similar enough to your little one and say they have them to meet up) animal foundation (there’s a search and list of their reclaiming process, fees, etc) Lost & Found Cats Of Southern NV Lost Dogs & Cats Las Vegas Lost and found pets in las vegas Vegas Lost & Found Dogs , Cats , Pets Lost and Stolen Pets of Las Vegas Nevada Lost and Found Pets of Nevada

Put your cat favorite blanket or bed outside also piece of your clothes T-shirt, which you wear it so it can smell your scent. But food and water just in case… talk with your neighbors, may see or capture on their doorbell, cameras, or cameras on their houses. Put posters around your neighborhood.. just walk around call your cat and shake treat specially when it’s starting to be more dark and quiet so it’s not gonna be afraid to come out to you.🙏

Lost Cat Tips * The most important thing is to start the search IMMEDIATELY. Keep in mind that cats tend to stay close to home. *Post pictures on Nextdoor dot com or app. It's a neighborhood app and posts to everybody in your ZIP code immediate neighborhood. * Report your cat as lost via the Animal Foundation website animal foundation dot com. *Post pictures of your baby on pawboost dot com, petharbor dot com and petfbi dot org. * Place your cat's tree house or bed/blanket that it sleeps on outside of your home. The scent will help guide him back or hang clothing that you have worn outside. *Google vets near you. 5-10 mile radius. Many people will take a cat to a vet to check for a microchip check & some vets will take possession of the animal or, have contact info for the person that found the cat. You can send a blanket email to all of them with pics and your contact info * Set food and water out for your cat, near the house's door unless you feel it might draw other predators. * Tell all of your neighbors. Ideally, print flyers with a clear color photo of your cat and words. CVS has a cell or PC site where you can load your pictures from either and then they will be ready in 1 hour. You can even have little postcards for posters made through CVS. On posters put "LOST CAT," and identifying info Provide several phone numbers to contact in case of sightings. * Contact your local shelter, e.g. The Animal Foundation (formerly Lied’s), NSPCA (formerly Dewey) and the Henderson shelter. * Walk around at all times of the day & night, calling their name, rattling favorite toys or treats.etc * If the kitty was shy, you may need to set humane traps. Keep in mind that most cats, when they get out of their home and familiar territory, become terribly frightened. More likely than not, your cat has found a safe place to hide and will stay there until the world quiets down. Many outdoor cats are most active in the middle of the night because the fewest people are out and about. Most of all, do not give up! Cats can return home within hours. They WANT to come home, so don't lose hope. 🐱🙏🏻❤️
